Our Story
Grace Environmental Monitoring was founded by Alfreda and McRonald Wasiu, a family team dedicated to creating jobs and environmental impact across remote and Indigenous communities in Cape York.
After over a decade working with Rio Tinto, Alfreda saw the need for a local, culturally competent monitoring service—so she created one.

Alfreda Wasiu – Director & Lead Environmental Consultant
Kaanju/Saibai Koedal/Boigu Karbai Baidham
With 9 years’ experience at Rio Tinto, Alfreda specialises in water and dust monitoring, compliance auditing, and training.
McRonald Wasiu – Field Technician & Operations
Samu/Burum-Thabu Saibai Island
Ron leads fieldwork and on-site monitoring logistics, working closely with councils and mine sites across the region.
Equipment & Capabilities
We operate with fully equipped mine-spec 4×4 vehicles, YSI ProDSS, Waterra pumps, air/dust monitors, and more. All equipment is calibrated and compliant with industry standards.
